Textiles and Drama combined together for a fabulous costume design workshop this term from the talented Fiona Chivers.  This came as part of our partnership with Hall for Cornwall in Truro.  It was an excellent opportunity for students to see some live work, along with understanding all the different aspects of developing ideas for a costume design.
Students had the opportunity to then create some super quick mood boards with crazy designs on them.  These were really fun and experimental.

Year 7 have been smashing their home learning with some digital paintings inspired by the work of Betty Busby.  These are just a few showing the diversity of colour and texture you can create whilst doing digital painting.

Year 7 also created some Petri dish-inspired artwork based on the artist Klari Reis.  They used glue and ink in a Petri dish and then we waited for them to dry.  They looked really awesome.  Well done year 7.

Year 8 have been exploring a project called Who Am I?  Looking at a variety of different artists who have then worked in the style of.  These are some amazing digital paintings inspired by Julian Opie – famous for the blur album cover and has a piece of work on display at Eden!

We were really pleased to celebrate with Annabelle in year 9 whose artwork won first prize at the Fowey Arts and Literature festival this summer.  The awards ceremony was held at Fowey Hall Hotel.  It was a fabulous occasion.  Well done Annabelle.
